PRIZE
VISION
To recognize excellence in architectural design and spatial innovation, we plan to launch two annual prizes starting in 2026. Outstanding works will be selected from architecture and interior renovation projects submitted by Jidipi members. These awards will honor architects and architectural firms for their exceptional contributions to the field of design. The prizes aim to enhance the public visibility of professional design, foster international exchange and professional recognition, and encourage continued innovation and high-quality architectural practice in the contemporary built environment.

Submissions should reflect an innovative architectural language while responding meaningfully to users, climate, and context—demonstrating a thoughtful engagement with cultural, ecological, and civic responsibilities. The prize recognizes not only formal and spatial innovation, but also the integration of performance, craftsmanship, and lasting impact. It celebrates architecture as a discipline that shapes the built environment with intelligence and integrity.
The Jidipi Interiors Prize celebrates interior projects that exhibit spatial creativity, material sensitivity, and exceptional user experience. Winning entries should present a coherent and expressive design vision that thoughtfully addresses human behavior, emotion, and cultural context. MECHANISM
The Jidipi Prize follow a jury model similar to most professional architecture prizes, with evaluations led primarily by experts from the fields of architecture and design. However, what sets Jidipi apart is a distinctive element in the final scoring process: 10% of the overall score is reserved for public input on the day of the prize ceremony. During the event, a group of non-professional attendees will cast their votes—based on personal impressions and subjective responses—among the shortlisted projects selected by the professional jury. This public vote introduces a broader perspective into the evaluation process, reflecting how architecture resonates with people beyond the professional community. By incorporating public sentiment, the Jidipi Awards aim to expand the conversation around design value and encourage architects to consider how their work connects with everyday users and public perception.

JURY
To ensure a selection process that is professional, fair, and globally informed, the Jidipi Prizes invites distinguished figures from the fields of architecture, interior design, urban planning, academia, architectural media, and related industries to form a diverse and insightful international jury. Representing a range of disciplines and cultural backgrounds, the jury offers a comprehensive and balanced perspective in evaluating each submission.More than a scoring mechanism, the Jidipi jury serves as a platform for ongoing dialogue in global design culture – guiding architecture and spatial practice toward greater critical depth and social relevance.
EVALUATION
The evaluation process begins immediately after the submission deadline and follows an eight-week review period based on JIDIPI’s established criteria. In April of each year, the jury selects a shortlist of outstanding projects and design teams from a professional perspective. All shortlisted participants will be notified and formally invited to attend the annual prize ceremony held in June. The final winners will be determined through a live vote by non-professional attendees at the prize ceremony. This public input serves as a complementary voice to the jury’s assessment, reflecting a shared recognition between expert evaluation and broader public engagement.
CEREMONY
The final prize recipients will be announced during the prize ceremony, with results based on the jury’s evaluation supplemented by weighted input from the public vote on the day of the event. In addition to the winning projects, all shortlisted entries will receive formal recognition for their excellence in design thinking and execution. The ceremony will bring together professionals, scholars, media, and design enthusiasts from both within and beyond the architecture field. More than a conclusion to the selection process, it offers an opportunity for meaningful exchange and shared reflection. This event will provide not only recognition for outstanding work, but also a broader context for appreciating architecture from diverse perspectives.
